HOW LONG HAS EDWARD BEEN ATTENDING FESTIVALS?
Since 1995 Edward has attended film festivals around the
world. These have included Cannes,
Berlin, Toronto, Tokyo, Sundance, Slamdance, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles,
AFI, Telluride, SXSW, and New York.
In fact he has attend hundreds of film festivals over the past 15 years.
WHAT TYPE OF EXPERIENCE DOES EDWARD HAVE AT
FESTIVALS?
My experience with film festivals is one that includes
being involved from the first year and developing a new festival to working as
a programmer with festivals that have been around for decades.
He has served as a Juror on many festivals such as Slamdance,
Oxford, Temecula, and Beverly Hills.
Edward has worked with screening committees at AFI,
Kansas City FilmFest, Slamdance, Temecula, and KC Filmmakers Jubilee.
As a speaker and panelist Edward has spoke at many
Universities and festivals and the world.
These include, University of Southern California, Los Angeles Film
School, Los Angeles Community College, The University of Bristol, San Diego
State University, The University of Kansas, The University of Missouri- Kansas
City, Kansas City Art Institute, Slamdance Film Festival, Temecula Valley
International Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival, Kansas City FilmFest, KC
Filmmakers Jubilee, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival.
WHAT
IS EDWARD’S DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE?
In
distribution Edward has spent the last five years attending the most important
markets around the world navigating the international film and television sales
arena. These have included, The Cannes Film Market, European Film Market,
MIPCOM, DISCOP, TIFFCOM, FILMART, MIPTV, American Film Market and the Toronto
Film Festival.
Edward has had his films distributed by
domestic and international distribution companies and knows first hand the
advantages and disadvantages of working with distribution and sales agents from
a producer’s point of view.
HOW
LONG AND WHAT EXPERENCE DOES EDWARD HAVE WITH DOING CONSULTATIONS?
Edward
has consulted with hundreds of filmmakers over the past ten years. Many of these as a freelance Festival
and Line-Producer consulate for IFP/LA and then in house for two years as the
Filmmaker Advisor at Film Independent.

How much does a Festival or Filmmaker Advisor consultation cost?
This
can be as little $200.00 USD for the standard consultation that includes
watching you project and an hour and a half phone consultation. Additional hours are at $100.00 per
hour with a maximum of $500.00 USD per project for consultations.
